Please provide examples of how you have shown responsible engagement in your career | |
| Responsible engagement has shaped the way I lead, collaborate, and deliver results throughout my career. In joining a 104-year-old organisation, I identified gaps in people and employee engagement and introduced a structured induction process to create clarity, consistency, and a stronger sense of belonging for new team members. I also brought discipline to the Marketing function by implementing KPIs, briefing frameworks, and performance tracking, ensuring accountability while maintaining creative momentum. Leading a team of creatives within a corporate environment requires balancing passion with realism, particularly where ideas are expected on demand and budgets are limited. To support this, I established bi-weekly creative sessions outside the office, providing space for open thinking, honest discussion, and collaboration. These sessions encourage diverse viewpoints while grounding creativity in practical business goals and delivery timelines. Beyond internal leadership, I have driven responsible engagement through the rollout of a corporate social responsibility initiative that aligns business objectives with meaningful community contribution. Earlier in my career, my role within a Fortune 200 global commercial real estate company involved managing marketing, events, sponsorships, and employee engagement across South Africa, Kenya, and Morocco, requiring cultural awareness, adaptability, and careful stakeholder management. I also worked closely with HR leadership as an Employer Brand Champion, supporting people-focused initiatives and contributing to a positive workplace experience. Across each role, my approach to responsible engagement is defined by thoughtful leadership, clear communication, respect for people and context, and a commitment to delivering outcomes that are sustainable, inclusive, and aligned with organisational values. |
