Please provide examples of how you have shown responsible engagement in your career | |
| Responsible engagement is built into our operating model. In an industry often plagued by contaminated fuel and broken promises, I made a deliberate choice to source directly from refineries and deliver every load with sealed documentation and full transparency. My clients trust me because I honour my word. My truck partners trust me because I pay them fairly and on time. That is not just good business; it is responsible leadership. Beyond my business, I have actively contributed my time and skills to the South African Women Lawyers Association (SAWLA), where I served as Events and Programmes Co-ordinator. In this role, I planned and executed initiatives that empowered women in the legal profession and created platforms for dialogue, mentorship, and professional development. I engaged with members across the country, ensuring our programmes were inclusive, impactful, and aligned with SAWLA's mission to advance women in law. This work taught me that responsible engagement extends beyond your own industry, it is about investing your energy where it can create systemic change. |
