| As the representative body for South African automotive component manufacturers, NAACAM often supports the same member companies across multiple focus areas such as localisation, skills development and policy advocacy. This means that different internal teams may engage with a single supplier on separate but related challenges, for example localisation readiness, access to incentives or workforce development needs. Sharing knowledge across these engagements is therefore essential to ensure that support provided to members is aligned and informed by a broader understanding of their operational realities. For example, challenges raised by suppliers in policy engagement forums around future technology transitions and skills readiness have informed internal discussions on how upgrading support should evolve to remain relevant. Sharing these insights across teams has supported improved coordination and reduced duplication of effort across programmes.
