My passion for the energy sector is anchored in its direct impact on economic participation, industrial growth, and social equity. I have channelled this commitment into both infrastructure delivery and structural reform. In transmission planning, I contribute to the development of multi billion rand grid infrastructure that enables renewable energy integration and strengthens national system reliability. Knowing that reliable electricity underpins schools, healthcare facilities, and businesses gives tangible meaning to the technical work I support. Beyond project delivery, I recognised that infrastructure expansion alone cannot ensure a just transition. Affordability and regulatory coherence are equally critical. I therefore advanced research on harmonised electricity tariff frameworks across Southern Africa, presenting this work at industry forums to connect engineering planning with policy reform and investment sustainability. This work positioned tariff design as a strategic lever for regional integration, improved cost recovery, and inclusive economic growth. I demonstrate passion through action. I actively engage diverse technical and policy perspectives to refine solutions, support colleagues during complex delivery phases, and challenge siloed thinking respectfully. By bridging engineering, economics, and governance, I seek to influence not only projects, but the systems within which they operate. For me, positive impact is measured not only in infrastructure built, but in resilient energy markets strengthened for long term national and regional development.
